Belonging begins with ACTIVELY listening and giving your peers an opportunity to be heard.

Weekly (monthly, or bi-monthly) half hour check-ins are a good start to allow team members to voice issues and concerns. Participants should journal "buzzwords" taken from what folks are talking about that spark a reaction in yourself to explore in a follow up gathering.

Barbara,

I like the idea of more frequent check-ins since we typically do quarterly.

Hi Barbara, The emphasis on listening and providing opportunities for peers to be heard is essential for creating a culture of belonging. It demonstrates awareness that employee's voices matter. Can you elaborate on how to facilitate "check-ins" effectively? The journaling suggestion is intriguing, can you share further clarification or examples of how the "buzzwords" are used productively in follow-ups? For instance, does it spark meaningful action or cultural change?
